First day of seven days of holiday outfits! Who is trying to figure out what to wear for Christmas and/or New Years?! Plato’s Closet Escondido is here to help you out on what to wear for the right price! Sparkles is definitely something to watch out for! This trend is so popular, it is only right to wear it on a special occasion! Here we have a gold sparkly body-con dress with black accessories to neutralize the look. I would recommend putting your hair in curls off on one side to make the outfit! Don’t forget to bring your camera because everyone is going to want to take a picture of your awesome style!

DIY: Denim Studded Vest

Hello everyone! Welcome to our first DIY! Today, we will be teaching you on how to make a denim studded vest! Here are the tools you will be going to need:

- Scissors

- Denim jacket

- Studs (you can buy these at your local craft store)

You are first going to cut the sleeves off with scissors, make sure it is along the seam.

After you are finished, this is how it should like look! Once you are done, proceed to cut the other arm. Again, make sure you cut along the seam!

Once you are finished cutting both sleeves off, your jacket should look like this! If you are satisfied with your denim vest, you are done! But, if you want to add studs:

Design the studs the way you want! You can put if on the collar, on the pockets, for this particular vest, the studs will go on the shoulders! Be careful with this, you may hurt yourself with the sharp edges of the studs!

And the final product will look like this! You can wear this with anything for it is a staple in your closet! Check out for a DIY coming soon! Take care everyone! Happy shopping :)

Greetings fellow followers! Sorry we have been missing in action for quite some time. This blog is now going to ran by ME(see picture above)! Allow me to reintroduce myself:

My name is Neacy and I am currently a buyer at Plato’s Closet Escondido and have been employed since April 2011. I love fashion so much, well, because I’m a girl and girls like fashion right? Anyways, I am very enthusiastic and pretty sarcastic (not). I don’t really have a good way to word my style but I enjoy the grunge factor but also adore feminine style as well. I will never think I have enough clothes but I’m trying my best to keep myself not-in-debt. I’m not good with words, but I hope you enjoy my company, as I will do the same.

We do love brand name clothing and designer brand clothing, but that’s not all we buy. We are more concerned with style and condition than brand. We are looking for casual teen and twenty-something current style clothing and accessories. Specifically items that you would have seen in those teen and young-adult stores less than 12-18 months ago. The items need to be in great condition. We buy all seasons all year. We do! We love accessories. Jewelry, belts, purses, scarves, shoes, hats. Of course we also love clothes. Do you look at all of the clothes a person brings in and offer a doller amount for each item of clothing? My friend just made $65 from selling her old clothes to you and I was hoping I'd be able to make some money too if I brought my clothes in(:

We look for brand name teen and twenty something’s clothing and accessories.The items can only be a year to a year and a half old, and it great condition. Gently used clothing just simply means freshly laundered, no stains, holes, piling, or fading. So just no excessive wear. Our certified buyers do look at every item you bring in. We enter the items that meet our criteria into our computer and the computer prices everything for us. We’ll give you the amount and answer any questions you have!
